BAC .052
While I served in the Air Force the Commander took two ranks permanently and left me on 16 hour shifts and weekend duty for nearly a year, after a .052 BAC test.
After 40 minutes of dealing with their parking lot sobriety tests they took me to have a BAC, the test came back at .052; when I saw the result I grinned and said “See, legal.” The officer chewed on a lump of bullshit for a minute and eventually said, “Not on base”. Well, an adult driver in the majority of states here in the US can have a .08; there’s not on-base and off-base versions of drunk. A pilot of a tractor trailer can legally have a .04. I was driving a Chevy Cavalier on a well lit empty road sober as a bell. I don’t know who they let drive my car home; everyone else in the car was liquor drunk, I was the designated driver.
