Brounland Road Crash
When I was a teenager, living in the home of Gary Marvin Chandler, I once woke up in a car the same time as mom and we where in a ditch on Brounland Road.

Mom had purchased a Ford Taurus and it was kind of a big deal to her, because it was a new car, it was a luxury ride, lots of power. Her Taurus was tan, I think it was two tone even. Gary Marvin Chandler had purchased a contract for a mobile phone service; in those days the thing was the size of a shoe box and was hauled in and out of the vehicle in a leather duffel bag; much like a fancy camera bag.
I don’t know where we where going, in fact it was rather strange that mom and I would go across Brounland Road like that. There isn’t anywhere for us to go together; at least not at that time. The first thing I remember hearing was mom’s voice, I had to tune into it. “I don’t know how I go there, I don’t know what I did, I don’t know why we’re in this ditch.” I was kind of out of it, I didn’t really understand what was going on, I knew where we where, and who we where, and I knew this car; I had no idea why we on this road or where we where going. She reached for the phone, called Gary Marvin Chandler to come save us. I vaguely remember standing outside the vehicle, behind the driver side; I remember seeing the car in the ditch on the right hand side of the road. For those who are not familiar with Brounland Road, the left hand side of the road is a complete drop off down a cliff into the river.
